Ever since the nofollow attribute was introduced, people have argued inconclusively whether or not Google spiders nofollow links. Everybody has been running around like a dog chasing a racquetball trying to figure out whether or not these links hold any value.

Google Pagerank (PR) is not something you should look at when determining the value of a website. The only thing that really matters is where you rank for the good keywords. (That’s it!) I have a lot of low PR sites that outrank higher PR sites.

If you are thinking about creating an automatically updating blog using WPomatic or a similar program… let me advise against it! The allure of creating a auto-updating blog is high because 1) there is no work involved and 2) you automatically build links by getting ping backs on other blog’s comments. Both of these things are true: you will do little work and build lots of links. But in the end, you will get banned by Google.

These days, there are lots of good Content Management Scripts (CMS) that are free. The 3 most popular ones these days tend to be Wordpress, Joomla, and Drupal. If you are thinking of using on of these, let me give you a quick rundown of the basics (in regards to functionality and SEO).
