Well, youtube links just went from being nearly worthless to being completely worthless.  Statistics and Data used to just be a hidden division of 5 external no-followed links, now it’s totally disappeared from the html and only gets transferred to the page (via ajax) upon a click.  There’s no chance these will still count as backlinks is there?

There are going to be a ton of sites out there that all of a sudden loose a few thousand links. I’m sure the algorithms are going to go nuts over this.

In one of my niches, the guy who ranks above me in the number #1 slot for my main keyword is using mainly youtube links as backlinks (I thought they were nofollow, but for some reason he’s still ranking well with them).  I think it’s safe to say now I will dethrone him.
