.EDU domains aren’t valued by Google solely for their name alone so much as the fact that they tend to be authoritative by their very nature.  So basically, getting access to a .edu link won’t automatically get you some hot bubbling link juice. It’s a correlation vs causation relationship.

But either way, a couple of EDU links can be VERY influential in the SERPS.

Here’s some ideas I brainstormed:

1. Bribing college sysadmins.
2. Kidnap a professor’s kids
3. Hack college computer labs
4. Get a job as webmaster at favorite college
5. Start my own college (1 million free links)

All kidding aside, the best way I’ve discovered is to search Google for some EDU blogs.  Other than this method, I’m really stumped.  I’m sure there are better ideas out there. I searched Google and found a combination of what seemed like marginally effective ideas and spam. Anyone want to share what works? (LEAVE A COMMENT! :))
