During the first Google PageRank update of it’s existence, GettingMoreVisitors.com achieved a Pagerank of 3. A PR3 is not exactly something to be proud of, but it’s a good start.

The frequency of your blog posts is very important if you want to achieve high search engine rankings with your blog. A lot of people think when first starting their website, they need to have a huge amount of content before they “go live.” In reality, when it comes to search engines, there is a huge benefit in posting articles over a long steady period of time (1 a day) instead of posting content in large batches.

This post is in response to an article I recently read called “55 Quick SEO Tips Even Your Mother Would Love.” Overall, I would have to say it is a very well written and informative article with some good points about search engine optimization. However, I have a few comments I would like to add:

StumbleUpon is a great source of traffic. In fact, since this blog opened, it has been our number one referrer. It is good for a couple of reasons - 1) It can send massive amounts of traffic to your site. 2) Links from StumbleUpon are highly valued in search engines as they are coming from a high PageRank site and they are “dofollow.”
